Belgische Efemere tentoonstelling

op zondag 21 oktober 2012 van 10u00 tot 13u30.

Een twintigtal boekbinders en boekbindsters - allen Belg of gestudeerd in België - zullen in toonkast en op tafel hun recente werken aan het publiek voorstellen.

De Franse boekbindster Annie Boige fungeert als eregast.

Bibliotheca Wittockiana zal op deze dag de volgende gasten onthalen: Françoise Bausart, Louise Bescond, Jan Camps, Brigitte Chardome, Rose-Marie Dath, Ingela Dierick, Liliane Gérard, Clara Gevaert, Anne Goy, Denis Grégoire, Michèle Grosjean, Junko Hayashi, Hugo Liesen, Gina Pimparel, Pascale Sarlet, Toon Van Camp, Véronique Van Mol, Marie-Joëlle de Villenfagne.

                                                                                                    

Op zondag 21 oktober 2012 zal ik deelnemen aan deze editie van Efemere. Een 5tal boekbanden zullen me vergezellen.

In de  galerij van Meander Medisch Centrum in Amersfoort zal ik deelnemen aan de tentoonstelling van Kunstenvliegwerk. De tentoonstelling loopt van 11 februari tot 15 mei 2012. Er zullen 6 boekbanden van Boekbinderij Toon Van Camp te zien zijn. Bovenstaande afbeelding is de band voor mijn Socotra-boek dat eveneens te zien zal zijn. Raamtentoonstelling: Bijzondere boekbanden / Some bookbindings.

Wanneer: van 3 december 2011 tot en met 1 januari 2012.

Te bezichtigen:  7 dagen op 7.

Waar:  Lange Koepoortstraat  60, 2000 Antwerpen.

In  het winkelraam van voormalige boekbinderij Folio Verso in de Lange Koepoortstraat zijn in de maand december  7 boekbanden te bezichtigen. Alle banden zijn gebonden tussen  2009 en 2011 door handboekbinderij Toon Van Camp.  De boekbanden onderscheiden zich stuk voor stuk door hun bindstructuur. Bij de ene boekband worden oude bindwijze op vernieuwende wijze geïnterpreteerd en bij de andere boekband worden dan weer totaal nieuwe bindstructuren geïntroduceerd.  De afwerking van de boekbanden zich door het veelvuldig gebruik van exotische leersoorten en edele metalen. Alle tentoongestelde boeken zijn te koop.

Where: Lange Koepoortstraat 60, 2000 Antwerp.

 In the shop window of the former bookbindery Folio Verso at the  Lange Koepoortstraat are  in the month of December 7 bindings on display. All the books are bound between 2009 and 2011 by handboekbinderij Toon Van Camp. Each of the bindings  distinguished by their bindingstructure. In some bookbindings traditional bookbindingtechniques are innovatively interpreted and the other bindings there are introduced totally new binding structures. The finishing of bookbinding by the frequent use of exotic leathers and precious metals.  All books are exhibited for sale.

Xth F.I.R.A.

Dit weekend vond de Xde F.I.R.A., Internationaal Forum voor Kunstboekbanden plaats te Brugge. De organisatie was in handen van ARA Belgica. Er werden lezingen en toespraken gehouden, ook er vonden er allerlei bezoeken plaats,... Meer info op http://arabelgica.be/

Een onderdeel van de Xde FIRA is een tentoonstelling van meer dan 200 banden in de bibliotheek "De Biekorf". Er is werk te zien van topbinders zoals: Alain Taral, Sün Evrard, Florent Rousseau,.... This weekend the Xth FIRA, International Forum of Artbookbinding took place in Bruges. The organization was in the hands of ARA Belgica. There were lectures and speeches, also there were visits ... More info at http://arabelgica.be/

Part of the Xth FIRA is an exhibition of more than 200 bookbindings in the library "The Biekorf". There is work by topbinders such as Alain Taral, Sün Evrard, Florent Rousseau,....
